A structured certification pathway for practising natural perfumers, perfume businesses, schools and individual perfumes that are new to NPA-certified training.

The self-paced programme covers ethical sourcing, supplier vetting, sustainability, studio and business practices, transparent marketing and the documentation required for assessment.
Successful applicants receive the appropriate Yellow, Amber or Green NPA certification, permission to use the relevant badge and inclusion in the NPA Certification Directory. The first year of the badge and directory licence is included.
Already professionally trained or previously NPA certified? You may be eligible for the Fast-Track Certification Application instead.

Curriculum for Individual Perfumers
Estimated Completion Time: 2–6 months, with 2-3 hours per week, allowing time for practical application and ethical practice documentation. -
Curriculum for Perfume Certification
Estimated Completion Time: 2–6 months, with 2-3 hours per week, focused on real-time submissions and ingredient documentation. -
Curriculum for Business Certification
Estimated Completion Time: 2–6 months, with 2-3 hours per week. This allows for in-depth supplier auditing, policy implementation, and reporting.
Note: Participants can work on more than one curriculum simultaneously. Each curriculum can be completed at a self-determined pace—whether they choose to move through quickly or take extra time to ensure thorough understanding and application.
